Netcool OMNIbus Training

Currently, there are 2 courses for the Netcool OMNIbus products. The first is a one-day user course covering all aspects of the Netcool OMNIbus Fault Management product from a user perspective. The second class is a four-day Advanced User and Configuration course covering advanced subjects such as configuration of the software components, ObjectServer SQL Automations and Tools, and general product administration.

Objectives / Certifications

The User course is intended for end users of OMNIbuNetcool OMNIbus product. The course is essential for any system integrators who will be working with OMNIbus.

Attendees of the Advanced course will be eligible to take the Netcool Certified Consultant certification.

Daily Schedule

Day 1: Introduction, Event List Configuration, Filters and Views, Using the Event List
Day 2: Installation, Communication, ObjectServer Overview
Day 3: Basic Probes, Gateways, ObjectServer Failover
Day 4: ObjectServer SQL, Tools, Procedures, Automations
Day 5: Event List Configuration, Users, Groups and Roles, Advanced Probes,Process Control, System Architectures

Prerequisites

• UNIX experience essential
• Knowledge of SQL and Database concepts beneficial
• Understanding of Network Management beneficial
